Hemodynamic monitoring is important. Patients taking cholinesterase inhibitors may have a prolonged response to depolarizing neuromuscular blockers such as succinylcholine. Patients are at increased risk for postoperative delirium, which may be the initial presenting sign of their Lewy body dementia.
